Chris has had a lifelong interest in hobby pottery and on retirement in the early 2000’s joined a Studio Pottery course at the Royal Forest of Dean College, where she gained her BTEC PDC certificate in Studio Ceramics.

Chris makes earthenware pottery with  “Mocha Tea” decoration, which uses locally mined ochres and oxides to colour the mugs, jugs and plates to form landscape pictures of the Forest of Dean, Chris’s home.

Mocha Tea is a mixture used in the 18th century and made from tobacco, lemon juice and water. The tree-like shapes created are all natural formations and therefore unique.
